I believe that the value of design comes to life when it is lived with and loved. My pieces are made to last and to be enjoyed every day.

About.

  • My creative practice reflects on tactility and technology, the detachment from the material environment, and our need for physical engagement in an overwhelmingly digital world. I feel inspired by materials, textures, structures, and our engagement with objects.

  • Ceramics have always been a part of my life. I grew up in Germany around my father's sanitaryware business and tiles, bathtubs and sinks were omnipresent in my childhood.

But it was during my BA Product Design course that my love for ceramics really came to the fore. I was immediately fascinated by ceramic because of its inherent tactility, the peculiarities of making and its pure beauty.

After graduating, I joined the in-house design team of German tableware company Villeroy & Boch AG. Initially mentored by the design team, I learnt about the breadth of porcelain, eventually taking on leading design roles for several successful collections.

In 2020 I decided to deepen my design practice and went back to college to do a MA course at Central Saint Martins in London. My time at CSM and in London was the starting point for shaping the direction of my individual design work.
